Horizon Search, Inc. takes on commissioned research and advisory assignments built around a defined technology or business decision. The question and its scope determine who is involved: specialist expertise is brought in per assignment rather than held out as a standing team.
The principal
David's background spans building and operating travel businesses in Asia, coaching, and commercial advisory. He also co-founded First Principles First, where he led the development of research methods and decision-support tools. He holds an MBA from the University of British Columbia. He leads project scoping and client relationships, with specialist involvement defined for each engagement.
Hidden Structure
Hidden Structure is the company's revenue-architecture practice, focused on pricing, pipeline, and acquisition economics. It has its own site at hiddenstructure.co.
Two organizations, kept separate
Horizon Search, Inc. is a for-profit company, separate from Horizon Search Institute, a nonprofit organization also founded by David Lovejoy. The Institute's research and programs are published independently at horizonsearch.org and are not part of the commercial offer.
